Compounded Semaglutide, Ozempic® and Wegovy®:
Semaglutide is an FDA-approved medication that has been proven to be effective in promoting weight loss. It is a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist used for weight management in adults with obesity. It is administered subcutaneously and works by regulating appetite and reducing food intake. Semaglutide is a synthetic analog of human GLP-1 and mimics the effects of GLP-1, which is a natural hormone produced in the intestines that helps regulate blood sugar levels and appetite. By activating GLP-1 receptors in the brain, semaglutide can promote feelings of fullness and reduce the desire to eat, leading to weight loss.
In clinical studies, participants who took Semaglutide lost an average of 6% of their body weight over 12 weeks. This is a significant amount of weight loss and can greatly improve overall health and wellness.
Mounjaro® and Zepbound® (tirzepatide):
